Our new addition to the Daikin Altherma 3 range offers lower
capacity monobloc units in 4, 6 and 8 class, complementing
the higher capacity models, 9, 11, 14 and 16 class. Both models
are delivered in a market-leading compact single fan casing,
making them ideal for new buildings and renovations.
The Daikin Altherma 3 Monobloc is now available in low and high
capacity models, ranging from 4-16 classes. Both models feature the
latest controls and low environmental impact R32 technology.

A redesigned outdoor unit
The Daikin Altherma 3 Monobloc high capacity offers a modern, single fan design, with
compact dimensions and a sleek black grille. The new low capacity Monobloc has an ivory
white casing. The white front grille is constructed with horizontal lines, hiding the fan from
view and reducing the perception of the sound produced by the unit. Both are unobtrusive
and versatile outdoor units suitable for a wide range of house types.
All-in-one compact design
The Daikin Altherma 3 Monobloc is an outdoor only unit including an enclosed refrigerant
circuit. It is an all-in-one concept with all key hydraulics included in a single unit, such as the
pump, flow sensor, and water pressure sensor. The system requires no indoor unit, only a user
interface and a stand-alone domestic hot water tank.
The high capacity models (9-16) are available with an integrated backup heater, whereas the
low capacity models (4-8) do not have an inbuilt backup heater. The backup heater will be
available as an optional accessory. Also available as an option for all models is a wiring centre
which offers a central wiring connection for all components installed inside the house.
Reduced environmental impact
Daikin Altherma 3 Monobloc uses R32 refrigerant, which is more energy-efficient and has
a lower global warming potential (GWP) than refrigerants such as R410A, requiring 30%
less refrigerant charge than an R410A equivalent unit. This means that you can reduce your
customers’ environmental impact even further by installing a Daikin Altherma 3 Monobloc
heat pump with R32.
Ideal where space is at a premium
The Daikin Altherma 3 Monobloc is the ideal solution for homes where indoor space is at a
premium. With a reduced size casing of only 870mm height and a total volume of less than
0.6 m³ for the high capacity model (740mm high) and volume of 0.324 m³ for the low capacity
model. Both units meet permitted development rights requirements. This will result in a faster
project completion time, avoiding any delays caused by planning approvals.
Installing and commissioning made easy
The rotary switchbox is a new feature for the low capacity monobloc; it helps the installer
easily access the unit's hydraulic and refrigerant components. An integrated high-resolution
colour interface offers practical visuals for both installers and service engineers. The
commissioning wizard will make it simple to prepare the full system ready for operation
in a maximum of nine easy steps.

High performance in low ambient conditions
With an operation range down to -25°C, the system delivers in the harshest of conditions.
The lower capacity unit has a high performance of 60°C leaving water temperature down to
-5°C ambient. The higher capacity model delivers 60°C leaving water temperature down to
-7°C ambient.
